Restaurant
Our caterer, Martin Burns, provides an excellent menu and it is advisable to book especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Full facilities are available to all members and visitors. Please refer to standard of dress later.

STANDARD OF DRESS

 

Applicable to Members and Guests

 

Clubhouse
The following items of dress are not acceptable at any time:

  • Caps
  • Shirts specific to other sports – soccer, rugby etc
  • Singlets, Sleeveless or Collarless Shirts
  •  Garments displaying non Golf related slogans or logos
  • Tracksuits
  • Any footwear worn on the course

 

Proper Dress (i.e. Jacket, Shirt and Tie)
Gentlemen are required to wear proper dress in the Dining Room on a Saturday evening.   If the Dining Room is uncomfortably warm Jackets may be removed.  Proper dress must be worn throughout the clubhouse after 9:00pm on Special Function nights  (Captain’s Day, President’s Day, Prize Night, Captains's Inaugural Night, Lady Captain's Day and New Year’s Eve)

The attire chosen by Ladies will be left to their own good taste.

Casual Dress

Neat leisurewear is permitted at all other times than above.

Shorts are acceptable providing they are not beach shorts, Boxing trunks or similar. Socks should be worn with shorts.

Carnalea Golf Club subscribes to the codes for Standard of Dress recommended by the Golfing Union of Ireland and the Irish Ladies Golf Union

 

 

Whilst we wish our Members and Visitors to feel at ease, smart dress is required at all times and would ask you to observe our dress standards

 

 

Please do not run the risk of embarrassment of being refused service

 

 

Staff are authorised to approach Members and Visitors if the dress regulations are not being adhered to
