A worrying layer of thatch has built up on the greens which, if not treated urgently, will result in waterlogged greens resulting in temporary greens during wet spells. To remedy this, urgent work needs to be carried out by the green staff. The work includes hollow tining, verti draining and top dressing. It is proposed to carry out this work during week commencing 21 August. There will be an inconvenience to members when the work is being carried out and the play ability of the greens will be affected in the short term. However it is important that we proceed with work for the long term good of the course.
